Post-Graduation Service Opportunities

The Career Development Center and the Office of Academic Service-Learning will host a series of events to introduce students to post-graduation service opportunities. All programs will take place from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

Tuesday, April 2 – Teach for America

New Haven native Justin Zamm will talk about his experiences teaching music in a Mississippi elementary school through the Teach for America program . The program will take place in Meeting Room A&B, Bartels Hall.

Wednesday, April 3 – Peace Corps

Sarah Tankoos will discuss her experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, where she helped with environmental building projects. The program will take place in Moulton Lounge.

Thursday, April 4 – AmeriCorps

Three local AmeriCorps VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America) will share their experiences, ranging from working with a youth development agency to providing college preparation services to high school students. The program will take place in Meeting Room A&B, Bartels Hall.
