UNH Hunger Games

UNH Hunger Games

The University’s Rotaract Club will host the UNH Hunger Games, a series of events modeled after the hit trilogy, from April 22-25.

The UNH Hunger Games is composed of 20 “Tributes” representing their “District” (a campus club/organization/office). The teams will participate in nightly physical, mental and endurance challenges starting on Monday, April 22, through Thursday, April 25.

Competitions take place each evening at 6 p.m. Events on Monday and Thursday will take place in the Bixler/Botwinik Quad and events on Tuesday and Wednesday will take place in Maxcy Quad. After each event, the bottom competitors are eliminated from the competition.

Much like in the Hunger Games trilogy and movie, the Tributes try to secure sponsors (individuals from the campus community) who will donate to ShelterBox in their District's name. The Tributes who are at the top of the fundraising standings at the beginning of each event will be given a significant advantage in the competitive event for that evening.

All proceeds from the event will benefit ShelterBox, a nonprofit organization that provides shelter to victims of disasters. Donations can be made online.
