Professor to Discuss Potential Policy Changes for Private Banks

Demissew Ejara, associate professor of finance, will present a talk on Thursday, March 27, about private banking for high-wealth individuals. His talk, sponsored by the Friends of the UNH Library, will begin at 2 p.m. in the upper level of library. 

Ejara will discuss the impact of private banking on the economy and recommend policy changes. Topics will include confidentiality and limited access to special investment opportunities.

Since 2006, Ejara, director of the Bergami Learning Center for Finance and Technology, has been teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate finance courses at UNH.

He received his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Connecticut, an MBA from the University of Texas-Pan American and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.
