Grad Student Appointed to Board of Connecticut Chapter of American College of Healthcare Executives

Akash Shetty, a candidate in the University’s master of healthcare administration program and the president of UNH’s Student Organization for Healthcare Administration, has been selected to serve as a student liaison on the Connecticut chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Only two students from Connecticut are asked to join the board each year.

“I am confident that Akash will do an excellent job as a student representative,” said Summer McGee, associate professor for public management and faculty advisor for UNH’s Student Organization for Healthcare Administration. “He has distinguished himself at UNH as a leader among his peers, and I am sure he will continue this leadership at the state level.”

Shetty, whose term began on July 1, will serve a one-year term.
