Entrepreneur and Intellectual Property Expert to Present March 10 Lecture

Ignacio DeLeon, the lead innovation specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean, will present a lecture on Thursday, March 10, titled “The State and Entrepreneurship.” The talk, which will begin at 1:35 p.m. in Kaplan Hall 109, is part of the Robert Alvine College of Business Professional Enrichment Program.

DeLeon is a distinguished start-up entrepreneur in the biotechnology industry. He has authored several books on competition policy and published works on intellectual property, the history of Latin America, innovation and the theory of the firm.
