Panel Discussion Examines State of Entrepreneurship in Connecticut

UNH’s College of Business will host a talk on Thursday, March 24, that will examine the state of entrepreneurship in Connecticut. The event, titled “Can We Reverse the Decline? A Symposium on the State of Entrepreneurship in Connecticut,” will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Bucknall Theater, Dodds Hall.

The discussion, which will be moderated by economics major Tyler Cordes ’17, will feature Brian Kench, dean of the College of Business; Brian Marks, professor of economics; John Rosen, executive director of New Tech Haven; Michael Driscoll, executive-in-residence at CT Innovations; Tom Moebus, partner at TenXGrow; and A.E Rodriguez, associate professor and chair of economics.

“Connecticut entrepreneurs are alive and well – but they don’t tend to stick around,” says Rodriguez. “A close look at state and regional trends over the last two decades reveals a deterioration of our entrepreneurial bench-strength.”
