Swearing-In Ceremony for New UNH Police Chief

A swearing-in ceremony for Tracy Mooney ’08 M.S., the University’s new chief of police, will take place on Wednesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. on the Maxcy Quad. The oath of office will be administered by Edward O’Brien, mayor of West Haven.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the programming space on the main floor of Bartels Hall.

Mooney was a member of the Milford Police Department from 1994 to 2014, serving in many assignments and ranks from patrol officer to assistant chief of police. She has received numerous commendations and citations recognizing her exemplary service.

She is a graduate of the 246th session of the FBI National Academy and has attended UNH’s Center for Advanced Policing as well as the Senior Management Institute for Police.
